Lawrence L. Day

Lawrence L. Day, 86, of New Concord, died Wednesday (March 30, 2016) at his home, returning to his Lord and to his beloved wife, Elane. He was born August 25, 1929 in Cleveland, son of the late Alexander J. Day and Viola Mae (Twerrell) Day. Mr. Day retired from House of Metals, where he had worked in the accounting department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, farming, and playing with his eight great-grandchildren. He was a long time member of the New Concord United Methodist Church. Mr. Day had been a National Guard veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elane C. (Osborne) Day, who died October 16, 2011. They were married on June 23, 1951. Also deceased is a brother, Glenn A. Day. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Elane (& Roger) Morrow of New Concord and Barbara Joyce (& David) Cunningham of Cadiz; four grandchildren, David (& Lori) Morrow, Nathaniel (& Anne) Morrow, Danielle Cunningham, and Samuel (& Renae) Cunningham; and eight great-grandchildren, Eliza Jane Morrow, Titus Morrow, Jack Morrow, Lily Morrow, Luke Morrow, Ali Rose Morrow, Shad Cunningham, and Ella Cunningham. A private service was held with the family and officiated by Rev. Karen Graham. Burial will be at Locust Grove Cemetery, Twinsburg, at a later date.
