Lawrence Harold Jackson, 77, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (November 16, 2011) at the Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. He was born October 11, 1934 in Clarington, son of the late Lawrence and Bertha Jackson. Mr. Jackson worked in the oil field as a general laborer for many years. He enjoyed collecting metal. Mr. Lawrence was a US Navy veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; and three sisters. He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Sherrard) Jackson of the home, whom he married September 20, 1958; a daughter, Debbie (& Jeff) Robinson of West Virginia; a step-daughter, Linda Ingram of Cumberland; three step-sons, Reno (& Sandy) Ingram of Newcomerstown, Darrell (& Diana) Ingram Jr. of Kimbolton, and John (& Kathy) Ingram of Cambridge; three brothers, Richard Jackson of Ashland, Clarence (& Janet) Jackson of Greenwich, and Walter Jackson of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Dorcas Campbell of Byesville and Olive Strauquadine of Columbus; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Saturday (November 19, 2011) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bob Hollins officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
