Leland Andrew "Andy" Robertson, 86, of Kimbolton, passed away at his home Thursday (January 5, 2012) after battling a long illness. He was born December 26, 1925 in Madison WI, son of the late Leland and Yuma (Bradford) Robertson. He attended Meigs High School and graduated from Belle Valley High School in 1943. He then served in the Army Air Corps as a corporal. Andy completed Army basic training at Sheppard Field TX. He was a furnace fireman at Camp McCoy WI and also ran the photo lab at the Enemy Prisoner of War Information Bureau of Fort George G. Meade MD. He was honorably discharged in 1946. After his service, he returned to Ohio and had been involved with farming for the remainder of his life. Andy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Cambridge, where he served as a deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Louis Wood. He is survived by his wife, Donna (McCullough) Robertson of the home, whom he married August 1, 1953; a son, Joseph Robertson of Cambridge; a daughter, Dr. Jill (& Frederick) Prince of Campton NH; and three grandchildren, Amy (& Dan) LeBlanc of Plymouth NH, Lindsey Prince of Campton NH, and Bert Prince of Campton NH. No calling hours will be observed. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Andy's name to one of the following organizations: 1) Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725; or 2) First Presbyterian Church, 725 Steubenville Ave, Cambridge OH 43725.
