Lemoine D. McKahan, 83, of Cambridge, died Friday (February 29, 2008) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 5, 1924 in Belfont WV, daughter of the late Leland Douglas and Susie (Nottingham) Douglas. Mrs. McKahan served ten years as a cook at the former Cambridge State Hospital. She was a member of Mt. Herman Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. McKahan, in 1980; and a brother, Aaron Douglas. She leaves three sons, David (& Terri) McKahan of Akron, Paul (& Debbie) McKahan of Caldwell and Curtis McKahan of Cambridge; three daughters, Louise Wade of Florida, Lisa (& Tony) Snell of Cambridge and Melissa McKahan of Cambridge; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William (& Lenora) Douglas of Cambridge and Jim (& Shirley) Douglas of Cambridge. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Wednesday (March 5, 2008) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Charles Hutchison officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Jefferson Township.
