Lila L. Nicholas

Lila Lee Nicholas, 81,went home to meet Jesus May 14, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville. She was born March 26, 1934 in Buffalo, Ohio, Daughter of the late James and Lucille (Haynes) McLaughlin. She attended school in Buffalo, Ohio . Meeting her in heaven were her Parents; James and Lucille McLaughlin, Three Sisters; Melba Karas, Linda McLaughlin and Myrna McLaughlin, a Brother; Larry McLaughlin, and the love of her life; William " Nicky" Nicholas. Lila loved the Lord and was ready to meet him. She loved flowers, kitchen gadgets, shopping , facebook, having pretty things around her and her family. She spent many years cooking at restaurants in the Cambridge area. She was an excellent cook. She was a member of the Cambridge Four Square Church. She leaves behind two Daughters; Gwen (Bill) Wilson of Cambridge and Barb (Kevin) McKinnon of New Concord, a Brother; Mick McLaughlin of Cambridge, a Sister; Mona Merritt of Texas, Five Grandchildren; Angela (Phil) Conrath, Jessica (Cortney) Hensley,Joel (Tricia) McKinnon, R.T. (Jessi) McKinnon and Morgan (Chad) Lambert. Nine Great Grandchildren , Three Step Sons; William,Arnie and Aaron Nicholas, a Step Daughter; Tami Weaver and several Step Grandchildren. She also leaves her cat Nicki and her dear friend from childhood ; Juanita Hayes. Visitation will be Monday- May 18,2015 from 6 - 8PM at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Tuesday - May 19, 2015 at 11 AM with Pastor Don Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery.
