Lillian Ball

Lillian Ball, 87, of Cambridge, passed away at her home on Sunday (February 19, 2017).

She was born May 13, 1929 in Philadelphia PA, daughter of the late Joe Allen and Verdia (Tarver) Allen.

Lillian worked for twenty-three years at the Cambridge Developmental Center, where she was head of the housekeeping department.

She loved to cook and feed her family.

Lillian was a dedicated Jehovah's Witnesses and a member of the local Kingdom Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Vivian Ball; a son, James Ball II; a brother, Leo Allen; three sisters, Elmyra (Allen) Green, Phyllis (Allen) Reeves, and Donna (Allen) Thompson; and a grandson, Joe Wilkey III.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, James Ball Sr; a daughter, Carole (& Joe) Wilkey II of Cambridge; a brother, Joseph Tarver Allen - Barbara of Columbus; three grandchildren, Dennis Ball of Reynoldsburg, James (& Janelle) Ball III of Indianapolis, and Erica (& Andre) Porter of Indianapolis; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial visitation hours will be held Saturday (March 4, 2017) from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (6604 Glenn Highway, Cambridge), followed by a memorial service beginning at 4 p.m. with Mike Chastain officiating.

As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
