Lillian Millhon

Lillian Millhon, 95, of Cambridge and formerly of Salesville, died Friday (March 27, 2009) at Victorian Oaks, where she resided. She was born on May 31, 1913 in Salesville, daughter of the late Owen Hull and Catherine (Roe) Hull. She married Homer Cecil Millhon on August 8, 1929. Mrs. Millhon was a faithful member of the Salesville Church of Faith. Mrs. Millhon was the first lady mayor in the State of Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, who died in 1985; a brother, Pete Hull; two daughters, Lila Yansura and June Long; and two grandchildren, Brian Zmij and Lori Long. She leaves a son, Philip G. (& Deborah) Millhon of Freeport; two daughters, Joyce Goodwin of Cambridge and Mariella (& Don) DuBois of Wooster; a son-in-law, Harold Long of Findlay; a brother, Bill (& Becky) Hull of Senecaville; a loving sister, Helen Bates of Salesville; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Madeline Long. Family and friends may call on Monday (March 30, 2009) from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Salesville Church of Faith, Salesville, where services will follow at 3 p.m. with Dr. Jim Lee and Evangelist John Neff officiating.
