Lillie B. Brister

Lillie B. Brister, 78, of Cambridge, died Thursday (July 28, 2011) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born June 2, 1933 in Byesville, daughter of the late Charles Brister and May Bell (Wickem) Brister. Miss Brister was a homemaker and a life-long volunteer for the Salvation Army. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mellitta Smith; a brother, George Brister; and a sister, Hazel Williams. She is survived by two sons, Trapper Brister of Cambridge and Phillip Brister of Whitesburg TN; a daughter, Cathy (& Russ) Stewart of Cambridge; two sisters, Donna (& Lan) Smith of Cambridge and Mary Melton of Oklahoma City OK; six grandchildren, Valerie Adams, Jodie Maleski, Mike Maleski, John Maleski-Ferguson, and Kendal Brister all of Cambridge, and Daniel Brister of Whitesburg TN; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday (August 3, 2011) at 6:30 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Church with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating.
