Lloyd L. Bolyard, 87, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (December 31, 2007) at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born on April 10, 1920 in Grafton WV, son of the late Luther Bolyard and Mary (Minear) Bolyard. Mr. Bolyard retired from Penn Central and Conrail Railroad, where he had been a brakeman for many years. He was a member of the 10th and Clairmont Church of Christ of Cambridge. He was a graduate of Grafton High School. Mr. Bolyard was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Alan Bolyard; and a brother, Marion Bolyard. He leaves his wife, Mary (Thompson) Bolyard, whom he married on September 19, 1943; two daughters, Cheryl (& Angelo) Natoli of Uniontown and Janet Roll of Cambridge; six grandchildren, James (& Cali) Bolyard, Bryan (& Sarah) Bolyard, Holly (& Jeff) Whitt, Tracey (& Jack) Thompson, Rachel (& Rod) Savage and Matthew (& Jennifer) Roll; and nine great-grandchildren, Ellyson, Benjamin, Luke, Nathan, Megan, Nicholas, Zachary, Olivia and Brady. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Friday (January 4, 2008) at 11 a.m. with Evang. Bruce Daugherty officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
