Lois M. Clary

Lois M. Clary, 83, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (February 21, 2012) at the Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. She was born May 5, 1928 in Altavista VA, daughter of the late Lyman B. Short and Effie (Hall) Short. Mrs. Clary retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital, where she had been an LPN for many years. She attended the Episcopal Church. Mrs. Clary was a life member of the VFW Post 2901 Auxiliary and a member of the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Clary, who died November 1, 1962; and a sister, Edith Coward. She is survived by a son, Edward D. (& Christine) Clary of Grand Blanc MI; two daughters, Patricia A. Watson of Grand Rapids MI and Susan M. (& James) Neal of Cambridge; a sister, Marie Foust of Danville VA; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Saturday (February 25, 2012) from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. John Brandenburg officiating.
