Lois Darlene Vaughn, 69, of Cambridge, died Thursday (December 25, 2014) at Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Cambridge. She was born July 30, 1945 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Roy King and Juanita G. (Bennett) King. Mrs. Vaughn was a homemaker. She loved crocheting and knitting. She always had a pet dog to love and care for. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Cambridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Vaughn, who died January 21, 2002. They were married August 20, 1966. Also deceased are two sisters, Gail Larrison and Wanda Graham; a brother, Melvin King; a grandson, Robert Boney; and a granddaughter, Robin Paden. She is survived by two sons, Tom (& Liz) Vaughn of Kentucky and Robert (& Rosemary) Vaughn of Cambridge; a daughter, Brenda (& Steven) Paden of Cambridge; a brother-in-law, William (& Bonnie) Graham of Woodsfield; six grandchildren, Sarah Larrison, Zachariah McVicker, Nathaniel McVicker, Ashley Paden, Vincent Vaughn, and Mariah Vaughn; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Larrison and Grace Arnold. Visitation will be held Tuesday (December 30, 2014) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Reeves officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
