Lona Catherine Siddle

Lona Catherine Siddle, 92, of Cambridge, went to be with the Lord Wednesday (August 13, 2014) at Autumn Healthcare of Cambridge. She was born February 20, 1922 in Baileys Mills, daughter of the late Leath Shipman and Mary Elizabeth (Finley) Shipman. Mrs. Siddle was a retired waitress and food manager at the former Kresge Company of Cambridge. She was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Cambridge. She was a 1939 graduate of Quaker City High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Russell Siddle, who died April 7, 2000; a son, Ross Allen "Ricky" House; two stepsons, Kenneth Siddle and Melvin Siddle; four sisters, Bertha Morris, Mary Barton, Mildred Shipman, and Dorothy Rawlins; and an infant grandson. She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Singleton of Cambridge, Sharon Gress of Byesville, Brenda (& Rick) Roudebush of Cambridge, and Anita (& Doyle) DeBolt of Cumberland; a stepson, Jack Siddle of Oracle, AZ; a stepdaughter, Sharon (& Allen) Zuress of Byesville; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; and several step-great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday (August 18, 2014) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Stephen Leathley officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions in Lona's name be made to the Bible Baptist Church, 207 S 5th St, Byesville OH 43723.
