Loretta W. (Eagon) Roe, 72, of Quaker City, passed away Saturday (February 2, 2008) at the Barnesville Health Care Center. She was born on June 18, 1935 in Wayne Township (Noble County), daughter of the late Loren Eagon and Edna (Reinner) Eagon. Mrs. Eagon was a homemaker. She was a 1953 graduate of Batesville High School. She was a member of St. John's Church of Quaker City. Mrs. Eagon was well-known for her ceramic work and regularly participated in the Ohio Hills Folk Festival and the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Belva Kahrig. She leaves her husband of fifty years, Myron Roe, whom she married on July 1, 1958; two daughters, Teresa Bentley of Ogden UT and Treva (& Darin) Kirkbride of Sarahsville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many friends. Private family services will be held on Tuesday afternoon (February 5, 2008) with Rev. Susan Quillem officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
