A funeral service celebrating the life of Lori Lee Long, 51, of Quaker City will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday (October 23, 2017) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City with Pastor Mark Slay officiating. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2- 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery.
Lori was born June 13, 1966 in Cambridge and was the daughter of Becky (George) Saltz and Duryl (Sue) Mallet. Daughter-in-law of Roger and Marjorie Long. She passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday (October 17, 2017.)
Lori was a homemaker, cosmetologist, and a loving wife and loving mother to Emily and Jessica. She enjoyed golfing, traveling to Myrtle Beach with her family, playing volleyball, flower gardening, cooking, and all family activities. She was a special friend to many.
She is survived by her husband Glen Long of Quaker City whom she married September 4, 1990; two daughters, Emily (Zander) Shumar of Somerset and Jessica Long of the home; one sister Denise (Steve) Watson; nephews, Stephen (Carissa) Watson and Hunter Watson; niece Alexis Watson; great nephew Tucker Watson; sister-in-law Rhonda Long; special step-sister Kara Longo.
She was preceded in death by a son Blake Holden Long.
