Lucille C. Papesh, 82, passed away Saturday (Nov. 22, 2014) at the Wyngate Senior Living Community, Parkersburg, W.Va. She was born Jan. 23, 1932, in Ducanwood, daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (Rocker) Ostojich. Lucille was a homemaker and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Parkersburg. Mrs. Papesh formerly attended St. Benedict Catholic Church in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cadiz High School. Lucille enjoyed yard work, gardening, crafts and doing home improvements. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Papesh, who passed away on June 25, 1998; and two brothers, George and John Ostojich. Lucille is survived by two sons, Henry (Kelly) Papesh of Houston and Mark (Lea Ann) Papesh of Parkersburg,W.Va.; one daughter, Donna (Harry) Platt of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Matthew, Andrea, Henry and Samantha; two sisters, Jo Ann Ostojich of Adena and Kay Jordan of St. Clairsville; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday (November 24, 2014) at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Fr. Paul Hrezo officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cambridge.
