Lula Fay Dyer

Lula Fay Dyer, 96, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (August 24, 2021) at her home.

She was born February 13, 1925 in Byesville, daughter of the late Guy Earl Callihan and Zelma Elizabeth (LaFollette) Callihan.

Mrs. Dyer had worked as a respiratory therapist at Southeastern Med for many years.

She was a member of the Faith Community Free Methodist Church.

She loved crocheting and playing cards.  She was a member of the Golden 60s.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Dyer, who died January 9, 1987.  They were married June 30, 1946.  Also deceased are three brothers, Donald Callihan, Jim Callihan, and Bob Callihan; and two sisters, Dorothy Gay and Margaret Giest.

She is survived by two sons, Clifford Dyer Jr. of Cambridge and Christopher (Renee) Dyer of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Jeffery (Jennifer) Dyer, Ben (Crystal) Dyer, and Tim Dyer (Whitney McKay); four great-grandchildren, Wesley, Brody, Camdyn, and Braeden Dyer; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Visitation will be held Friday (August 27, 2021) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evang. Woody Biggs officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
