Madeline V. Archer, 87, of Cambridge, passed away Tuesday (February 3, 2009)at the Red Carpet Health Care Center, Cambridge. She was born on June 30, 1921 in Robins, daughter of the late Andrew Bezek and Anna (Bakos) Bezek. Mrs. Archer was a former employee of Branthoover & Johnson, where she had worked as a bookkeeper. She was Catholic by faith. Mrs. Archer was a loving wife, mother and nana. She also enjoyed working in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Archer, who passed away on October 22, 1985; six brothers, Charles, Albert, George, Joseph, Ralph and Frank; and two sisters, Mary Bakos and Margaret Bezek. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Bentley of Cambridge; and a grandchild, McKenzi Bentley. No calling hours will be observed. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday (February 5, 2009) at 12:30 p.m. at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Lore City, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Center Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to one of the following organizations: 1) Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center, 1022 Carlisle Avenue, Cambridge OH 43725; 2) Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave - Fl. 17, Chicago IL 60601-7633; 3) Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 136 High Avenue, Lore City OH 43755.
