Mahala Jean Moffett

Mahala Jean Moffett, 60, of Byesville, passed away Monday (January 14, 2008) at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born on October 3, 1947 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Russell Anker and Mamie (VanDyne) Anker. Mrs. Moffett was a health care worker. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Newcomerstown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Moffett, who passed away on September 7, 1986; a brother, Russell Anker; and a sister, Mildred Phillips. She leaves two sons, Jason Moffett of Lore City and Robert (& Jen) Moffett of Kimbolton; two daughters, Brenda Rossiter of Claysville and Heather Moffett of Byesville; a brother, Charles "Chuck" Anker of Byesville; ten grandchildren, including Anthony and Brittany who she raised; and many nieces & nephews. No calling hours will be observed. No services will be held at this time.
