Margaret Ida Brown, 93, formerly of Cambridge, passed away Friday (March 12, 2010) at The Manor in Perrysburg. She was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Jackson Township, a daughter of the late Homer and Elsie Johnson Lowry. She was employed for 24 years as a licensed practical nurse in occupational therapy at the former Cambridge State Hospital. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Cambridge and the Ladies Quilting Society. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Brown, whom she married June 2, 1936, and who passed away in 1995; and two daughters, Patricia Lynn Brown and Linda Kay (Brown) King. Survivors include two sons, Donald L. (Dorothy) Brown of Belle Vista, Ark., and David L. (Maryann) Brown of Toledo; two sisters, Helen Norman of San Diego, Calif., and Pauline Shellito of Delaware; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be Wednesday (March 17, 2010) at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Terry Tate officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
