Margaret E. (Burcher) Likens

Margaret Evanell Burcher Likens, 96, of Quaker City, Ohio passed away Monday (November 13, 2017) at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Barnesville.

She was born on February 23, 1921 in Cambridge and was the daughter of the late Harry C. and LB (Havens) Burcher.

Margaret was a very kind , giving person who was an active member of First Baptist Church in Barnesville. She was a very talented, accomplished seamstress who loved to collect, make and dress dolls. She lovingly repaired dolls in "Grandma Snow White's Shop".

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Likens; one son Phil Likens; four brothers, Harvey, Earl, Daniel, and Jack Burcher.; one sister Anah Barnett.

She is survived by five siblings, Bessie Thomas of Indiana, Rebecca Burcher of New Mexico, Paul Burcher of Colorado, Harry Albert Burcher of New Mexico, and Robert Burcher of Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday (Nov. 20 ^th ) from 2-3 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City with services to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Rodney West officiating.
