Margaret L. (Curran) Westcott, 94, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday (February 6, 2011) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 15, 1916 in Cambridge, daughter of the late P.A. and Mary (Brislen) Curran. Mrs. Westcott retired after forty years of service with Columbia Gas. She was a member of the St. Benedict Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters, where she held many offices for over seventy years. Mrs. Westcott was a 1934 graduate of St. Benedict High School. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and volunteering at her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Westcott, who died in 1973; a sister, Catherine Lewis; and two brothers, Charles and George Curran. She is survived by her nephews, Jim (& Diane) Lewis of Roanoke VA, Pat (& Maria) Curran of Kentucky, and Chuck (& Rachel) Lewis of Eaton; nieces, Mary (& Ron) Hayes of McArthur and Barbara Lewis of Westerville; and several great-nieces & great-nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday (February 8, 2011) at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Chet Pabin officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret's honor to the St. Benedict Catholic Church, 701 Gomber Avenue, Cambridge OH 43725.
