Margaret L. Jackson, 87, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (May 18, 2011) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born December 13, 1923 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late Barney Mazek and Julia (Hudak) Mazek. Mrs. Jackson was a retired mail clerk for NCR. She also had worked at Kresge's and J.C. Penney, as well as managed the Silco Store. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church (Christ Our Light Parish). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jackson, whom she married January 27, 1945; three brothers, Andrew, Steve, and Davis "Bud" Mazek; and five sisters, Julia Mazek, Irene Spirko, Mary Neff, Helen Jawarski, and infant Ann Mazek. She is survived by a son, Dennis (& Durinda) Jackson of Byesville; a daughter, Theda Petrasko of Hamilton; a sister, Irma Simmerman of Newcomerstown; seven grandchildren, Misty (& Loren) Priebe, Staff Sgt. Travis (& Misty) Jackson, Christopher (& Ashley) Jackson, Greg Petrasko, Ryan Petrasko, Karen Petrasko, and Julie Petrasko; and four great-grandchildren, Cody Priebe, Brianna Priebe, McKenzie Jackson, and Reegan Jackson. Family and friends may call on Saturday (May 21, 2011) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday (May 21, 2011) at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
