Margaret Schafer

Margaret Schafer, 89, of Salesville, died Friday (April 17, 2015) at Emerald Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center, Barnesville. She was born December 9, 1925 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Harry J. Kenney and Mary (Pfenning) Kinney. Mrs. Schafer retired from the Kirby Sweeper Company, where she had been an assembly worker. She attended the Salesville Church of Faith. She enjoyed listening to the City Band performances. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Krock; her second husband, Joseph Schafer; a son, Karl Krock; three brothers, Harry, Michael, and James; and a sister, Katherine. She is survived by three daughters, Sherry (& John) Lane of Salesville, Karen (& William) Arnold of Irvine KY, and Susan (& Tony) Murray of Millersburg; a sister, Maxine Coe of Brunswick; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. No calling hours will be observed. A private family service was held Saturday (April 18, 2015). Pastor Perry Baranich officiated. Burial will be at Salesville Cemetery, at a later date.
