Marie Antoinette Crawford

Formerly of Cambridge

Marie Antionette Crawford was born August 2nd, 1949, on Jamaica, Long Island New York, to the late Evelyn M. Alston and Chauncey Barkley. Marie attended and graduated from John Adams High School on Long Island in 1967. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a young age and have been an ambassador for Christ until her final day. Marie is a member of St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church and was highly efficient and school trained as a Universal Usher. She was also a member of Cambridge Community Choir. Throughout her travels and life in Denver, Co. Louisville, Ky. Stockdale, Tx. and San Antonio, Tx. She fervently shadowed the face of many churches and volunteered in each state. Her last Volunteering responsibility was a Foster Grandparent of the Catholic Charities.

Marie was employed in Cambridge at Westinghouse, Hamilton Beach, Randall Plastic. She was employed at Walmart Corporation for 14 years until her health began failing. She was a fun loving and very talkative woman. Give her ten minutes she would know your middle name, where you were from, your mother maiden name and how may children in the family and where you fit in. She will be sorely miss by our family.

Marie is preceded in death by her mother Evelyn M. Alston her late husband Roosevelt Barbery, her son Shannon O'Neal Crawford and Kedra Wyatt.

She is survived by, Stepdaughter Caste Ila Johnson, MS., Tamarisse Glenn­Williams {Joshua) of NY, Kissena Crawford, OH, Sisters Beverlee J. Williams, TX., Crystal M. {Rodney) Clark, AR., stepbrothers, Freddie Crawford, OH., Leonard Crawford Jr., OH. and James Crawford, OH.

Grandchildren: Yannick Taylor, Yoruba Taylor, Yasmine Williams, and Jordan Williams. Great-Grand Children: Serenity Taylor, Matthew Williams, Maurice Williams, Journee Williams, Jarrick Williams.

A host of nieces and nephews: Justin Barkley, Ebony Barkley, LaFawn Jordan, Courtney Gunter, Marcus Crawford, Brittany Salami.

Great/Grand nieces and nephews: Jacqueline Faye, AL, Olivia Brown, OH., Melvin Brown, OH, Cheryl Moore, OH., De' Andre Henry, JeSherrica Barkley, De' Ja Barkley, JaKobe Barkley, Alexis Plummer, Jasmine Plummer, Anjelica Jordan, Althea Bernstein, Destiny Ramos, Arianna Gunter. Zara Gunter, Jaden Crawford, Jamayn Crawford, Maliq Crawford, Ja'Quorian Williams, Marvin Jordan, Kenya Jordan, Caleb Hudgins, and Ebony Hudgins.

Calling hours will be held Friday, November 25, 2022, from 11AM-1PM, at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge, with services to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Northwood Cemetery.
