Mark Wells, 51, of Quaker City, died Monday (May 17, 2010) at his home. He was born July 3, 1958 in Barnesville, son of Clarence Wells and the late Marcella (McVay) Wells. Mr. Wells was a corrections officer for the Noble County Correctional Institute. He was a member of the Barnesville Church of Nazarene. Mr. Wells was a member of the NRA and a former Boy Scouts Master. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wells. He is survived by his father, Clarence Wells of Fairview; a son, Mark Aron Wells of Cambridge; a daughter, Ami (& Shawn) McDowell of Salesville; five brothers, Clarence Rollie (& Diane) Wells of Fairview, Francis (& Phyllis) Wells of Dover, Duane Wells of Temperanceville, Bill Wells of Uhrichsville and Dennis (& Carol) Wells of Old Washington; four sisters, Sandra (& Bob) Steele of Fairview, Patsy (& Benny) Ankrom of Barnesville, Marcia (& Kim) Ankrom of Bolivar and Julie (& Dan) Peters of Quaker City; three grandchildren, Olivia Wells, Devin Wells and Zoe McDowell; and his former wife, Teresa Wells of Quaker City. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will be held on Saturday (May 22, 2010) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Philip Hines officiating. Burial will be at Crestview Cemetery, Barnesville.
