Marlene Ruth Britton

Marlene R. (Scott) Britton passed away Friday (September 21, 2018) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. Marlene was born to George and Elsie Scott on July 10, 1932. She graduated from Old Washington High School in Old Washington, Ohio in 1950. She worked in the healthcare and hospitality fields for many years. She loved to crochet and make quilts for her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Donald (Cherie) Britton of Ashland, Ohio, Ronald Britton of Pensacola Florida, and Renee (Rich) Obar of Utica, Ohio. Sisters, Yvonne Frontz and Shirley Miracle both of Cambridge. Grandsons, Andy (Keri) Britton, Chris (Jamie) Britton, Jon (Liz) Britton, Josh (Jessica) Mott, Jake (Rachel Burgett) Mott, Lee (Theresa) Hunt, and Cory Hunt. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, loving nieces and nephews and long-time friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Louise Scott, brother John Scott, sister Dorthy Shepler and step brother Dean VanFossen. A private ceremony was held to celebrate her life.
