Marlene June Sheets

Marlene June (Sickles) Sheets, 69, of Cambridge, died Friday (May 16, 2008) at her home. She was born on May 29, 1938 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Elmer Sickles and Treva Bichard. Mrs. Sheets was a housekeeping employee of Guernsey Memorial Hospital and also a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the North Salem Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Matthews; her second husband, Shirley Sheets; a brother, Ron Sickles; and two sisters, Janice K. McAfee and Peg Fleming. She leaves three sons, David (& Barbara) Matthews of Georgia, Steve Matthews of Georgia and Daniel "Boone" Matthews of Cambridge; a daughter, Debbie (& Daniel) Miller of West Lafayette; two brothers, Bob (& Judy) Bichard of Cambridge and Jeff Sickles of Zanesville; a sister, Pat Sickles of Texas; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews & friends. No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Guernsey, Inc.
