Martha Marie Grimsley

Martha Marie Grimsley, 88, of Cambridge, died Monday (September 23, 2019) at her home.

She was born January 23, 1931 in Salesville, daughter of the late Sylvan Smith and Pearlie (McBurney) Smith.

Ms. Grimsley retired from the former State Hospital, where she had worked as a pharmacist tech.

She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Everett Smith; and a sister, Helen McLaughlen.

She is survived by a son, Eddie (& Tonya) Grimsley of Cambridge; two daughters, Cindy (& Paul) Potts of Cambridge and Donna Grimsley (& David Nairn) of Reynoldsburg; a sister, Evelyn (& Phillip) Harding of Byesville; two grandchildren, Nicole (& Chris) Barnhart and Jessi (& Donnie) Bates; two great-grandchildren, Brooke Barnhart and Derrick Bates; and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday (September 26, 2019) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.

Graveside services and burial will be held Friday (September 27, 2019) at 11 a.m. at Salesville Cemetery .
