Martha "Jean" Kidder

Martha "Jean" Kidder, 85, passed away Friday (May 24, 2013), at CountryView Assisted Living. She was born July 17, 1927, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Frank and Leota Williams Hill. Jean was a homemaker, a member of Beckett United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Chapter 211, and a 1945 graduate of Old Washington High School. She enjoyed reading and traveling, especially vacations to Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willard "Dale" Kidder in 2011; and a brother, Donald Hill. She is survived by two sons, Brent (Jackie) Kidder of Bellaire and Keith (DawnRae) Kidder of Georgia; a daughter, Linda (Jack) Emde of Cambridge; a sister, Donna O'Brien of Brunswick; three grandchildren, Craig (Becky) Kidder of Hilliard, Melanie (Jesse) Padgett of Galloway and April (Matt) Richardson of Cambridge; three great-grandchildren, Vance Kidder, Kolt Richardson and Kayla (Jerry) Wheeler; and a sister-in-law, Wanda Hill of Cambridge. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (May 28) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evangelist Mark Beros officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
