Martin R. Long, 67, of Quaker City, died Tuesday (September 3, 2019) at his home.
He was born July 13, 1952 in Wheeling WV, son of Dorothy (Phillips) Long and the late Neil Long.
A graduate of Cloverleaf High School of Lodi, Mr. Long was a self-employed mechanic and farmer.
He enjoyed farming, woodworking, and cabinet making. He was a member of the Batesville Sons of American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Robin (Hendershot) Long; his mother, Dorothy Long of Ashland; two sons, Martin (& Hattie) Long of Pleasant City and Clinton Long of Cambridge; a daughter, Michell Long of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Jennifer Long of Caldwell, Teresa Winland of Spencer, and Peggy Long of Ashland; and three grandchildren, Colton, Raelynn, and Josie.
Visitation will be held Thursday (September 5, 2019) from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will be held Friday (September 6, 2019) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating.
Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
