Mary E. Bezek, 96, of Cambridge, died Monday (August 24, 2015) at The Cardinal Place, Cambridge. She was born April 20, 1919 in Kipling, daughter of the late John Trubisky and Mary (Torchik) Trubisky. Mrs. Bezek owned and operated Bezek's Grocery with her husband for thirty-six years. She was a member of Christ Our Light Parish and Catholic Women's Club. Mrs. Bezek was well-known as a great pie baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bezek, who died August 18, 1976. They were married May 4, 1940. Also deceased are two brothers, Mike and John Trubisky; and a grandson, Jeff Burris. She is survived by two daughters, Mary (& Larry) Burris of Cambridge and Beverly (& Kenny) Choma of Cambridge; four grandchildren, Noreen (& Jack) Welch of Worthington, Brian (& Lisa) Burris of Dublin, Dawn (& Mike) Turner of Alexandria, and Kendra (& Damon) Singleton of Senecaville; nine great-grandchildren, Katie, Doug, Kristen, Hannah, Cameron, Juliana, Sydney, Trey, and Jacob; and a granddaughter-in-law, Susan Burris. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday (August 27, 2015) at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Cambridge, with Father Paul Hrezo and Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Cambridge.
