Mary Irene Hardy

Mary Irene Hardy, 88, of Cambridge, died Monday (December 4, 2017) at Cambridge Place.

She was born April 30, 1929 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Elmer Mercer and Vivian (Olin) Mercer.

Mrs. Hardy had worked as a bookkeeper at the former Bargain City for many years.

She was a graduate of John Glenn High School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel "Sam" Hardy, who died May 7, 1994; a brother, William Speakman; a granddaughter; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Parker, Sam (& Patty) Hardy, Paul (& Linda) Hardy, Patricia (& Ben) Wise, Kathy Ridgley, Molly Dybiec, Andy Hardy (& Dottie Travis), and Jesse Hardy; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday (December 7, 2017) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Ken Blood officiating.

Interment will be at Bloomfield Cemetery.
