Mary Lou McConkey, 62, of Cambridge, died at the home of her daughter in Byesville on Sunday (September 9, 2012). She was born September 28, 1949 in Guernsey County, daughter of Alma Jane (Atkinson) Wallace and the late Albert J. Wallace. Mrs. McConkey was an assembly line worker at March Electric for many years. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jackson Byron McConkey. She is survived by her husband, Harold D. McConkey, whom she married July 1, 1967; her mother, Alma Jane Wallace of Cambridge; two sons, Steven (& Kim) McConkey of Cambridge and Richard (& Laura) McConkey of Byesville; a daughter, Angela (& Dennis) Stephens of Byesville; two brothers, Robert Wallace and Ronald Wallace both of Cambridge; three sisters, Shirley Flesher of New Concord, Betty Yemich of Cambridge, and Donna (& Raymond) Kyser of Cambridge; seventeen grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (September 12, 2012) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Evang. Mark Beros officiating.
