Mary L. Potts

Mary L. Potts, 81, of North Fort Myers FL, died Wednesday (April 27, 2016) at Hope Hospice of Cape Coral FL. She was born October 16, 1934 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Ralph W. Stillion and Mary V. (Mackey) Stillion. Mrs. Potts worked as a station preparation specialist/operator for eleven years with RCA and then for twenty-seven years with NCR. She was a member of the Zanesville First Church of God and a former member of the Cambridge First Church of God. She was a Sunday school teacher and often helped with the senior activities held by the church. Mrs. Potts was a 1952 graduate of Cambridge High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford R. "Skip" Potts, who died July 5, 2005. They were married July 15, 1956. Also deceased are two brothers, Bill Stillion and Roger Stillion; and a sister, Esther M. Mowery. She is survived by a daughter, Megan Christine Potts of North Fort Myers FL; a brother, Donald R. (& Lorayn) Stillion of Zanesville; a sister, Betty S. Shinn of Byesville; several nieces and nephews; and an aunt, Mildred Walters of Alabama. Visitation will be held Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and also on Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held Tuesday (May 3, 2016) at 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with Pastor Gary Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
