In loving memory of Mary L. Staffey, age 78, who passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born on February 14, 1944, in Zanesville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Samuel Ruben and Nettie Lee (Baker) Staffey.
Mary was Pentecostal by faith.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis E Staffey, Clarion R. Staffey, Chester I. Staffey, her half- brothers, Samuel E. Staffey, Daniel G Staffey, Chuck Staffey, Donnie Woods and Ronnie Woods, sister, Jane Staffey, half- sisters, Mary E. Staffey, Rose Highshoe, Evelyn J. Smith, Jeannie Stansberry, and Rebecka Staffey.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Ralph L (& Elizabeth J) Staffey of Cambridge, half-brother, Richard Woods of California, sister, Linda D. Heskett of the home, special nephews, David Tyo of Kimbolton, Robert (& Stacey) Tyo of Missouri, Ralph L (& Misty) Staffey of Senecaville, Randy J (& Anne) Staffey of Lancaster, great nephew, Larry Seevers, of Zanesville, special friends whom she loved, Brent Wicken, Cindy Wicken, Karen Stidd, , Roy Stidd, Shelia Feldner, all of her friends from the church, pantry, Hospice of Guernsey, McManus Cancer Center and her doctor, Dr. Schubert. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog, Sandy.
Visitation will take place at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 5pm-7pm and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 11am with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Zanesville. Pastor Marie Hanning will officiate.
