Mary E. Trusso

Mary E. Trusso, 90, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday (February 12, 2015) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. She was born August 22, 1924 in Akron, daughter of the late Willard Blamble and Zina Ann (Bowers) Blamble. Mrs. Trusso was a licensed LPN. She retired after thirty-two years from the former Cambridge State Hospital, where she had been a nursing supervisor for many of the wards. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved tending to her flowers, cooking, and traveling. Mrs. Trusso was a member of Christ Our Light Parish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Anthony "Tony" Trusso, who died December 21, 1996. They were married May 1, 1943. Also deceased is a son, James "Ed" Trusso, a grandson, Todd; two brothers, Ed and Albert; and three sisters, Alice Mae, Evelyn, and an infant sister, Justine. She is survived by three sons, Sebastian "Bud" (& Pat) Trusso of Madisonville LA, Robert "Bob" (& Billy Jo) Trusso of Cambridge, and Daniel "Dan" Trusso (& Julie Willis) of Cambridge; a daughter, Roseann (& Paul) Daugherty of Cambridge; a sister, Mildred Russell of Newcomerstown; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Valerie, Tony, Tabitha, Justin, Jamie, Angela, Sybrina, Michael, Shean, and Louis; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Monday (February 16, 2015) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Father Robert Borer officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
