Mary Frances Wigginton, 95, of Byesville, died Thursday (June 12, 2008) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born on December 15, 1912 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Joseph Karns Black and Mary Bertha (Corbit) Black. She married Paul C. Wigginton on April 20, 1934. Mrs. Wigginton retired from the former Foote Mineral, where she had been a secretary for twenty-two years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cambridge. She was a 1930 graduate of Cambridge High School and also a graduate of the Cambridge Business College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, who died on June 1, 2001; and a sister, Amanda. She leaves a nephew, Robert J. Savage of Cambridge; a niece, Elizabeth "Libby" Hoffman of Fostoria; several great-nieces & great-nephews, including Debbie Green of Byesville, Pam Carnahan of Dalton, Luann Crescenze of Massillon, Nick Savage of Salesville, Shawn Savage of Cambridge, Bobby Walker of Cambridge and Dick Oiler of Massillon; and her loving, long-time friends, Betty Robertson and Ed & Agnes Lehotay all of Cambridge. Family and friends may call on Saturday (June 14, 2008) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
