Matthew Lee Zilka

Matthew Lee Zilka, 70, of Cambridge, died Tuesday (November 11, 2014) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville. He was born December 20, 1943 in Bluebell, son of the late Matthew Zilka and Lillian (Anderson) Zilka. Mr. Zilka retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital where he had been a custodial worker. He attended the Church of God of Prophecy. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Jacob Zilka; and a sister, Kathy Oney. He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Bennett) Zilka; three sons, Ben (& Kim) Zilka of Cambridge, Mark (& Pokey) Zilka of Cambridge, and Isaac Zilka of Cambridge; a brother, Larry (& Bunny) Zilka of Cambridge; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. No visitation will be held. Private services will be held at a later time at the convenience of the family.
