Max J. Francis

Max J. Francis, 79, of Cambridge, died Saturday (May 20, 2017) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. He was born November 9, 1937 in Detroit MI. Mr. Francis was the former owner of the El Rancho Motel. He was a good Christian man who enjoyed golfing and gardening. He loved his dog, Blue. Mr. Francis was a US Army veteran and a former member of the VFW and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his fiancée, Diane Fehlner of Olmstead Falls; two daughters, Lori Francis of Smyrna GA and Charlene Francis (& her fiancé, Steven Martin) of New Rochelle NY; and a brother, Tom (& Lucia) Francis of Texas. Visitation will be held Tuesday (May 23, 2017) from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
