Maxine Marie Barriat, 96, of Cambridge, passed away Monday, November 14, 2025, at her home.

She was born May 29, 1929, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Joseph N. Power and Eugenia (Boulet) Power.

Mrs. Barriat, “Pat” as she was known to friends and family, was employed by the Ohio Valley Dairy in her youth as a waitress/clerk and as a clerk for many years at Jirles Market in downtown Cambridge. Mostly, she was a stay-at-home loving mother and caregiver to her children.

She was Methodist by faith.

Pat was a member of the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center, Cambridge Eagle Aerie 386, and the Cambridge VFW Post 2901.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st husband and father of her children, Harold J. “Whitey” McNeal; husband, Fernand E. Barriat; three brothers, William Power, Joseph Power, and Richard Power; and four sisters, Eugenia Power, Dorothy Power, Joyce O’Karma, and Eileen Wheeler; and a daughter, Constance J. “Connie” Woolley.

She is survived by two sons, Harold J. “Jim” McNeal of Cambridge and Mark J. “Joe” McNeal of Cambridge; a daughter, Lori E. Hall of Cambridge; granddaughters, Susan M. Lawrence and Jane E. (Steve) Goodyear both of South Carolina, and Abigail R. (Aaron) Phillips of Cumberland; three great-granddaughters, Abbie L. Oxley, Aubrey R. McCullough, and Arianna E. Phillips; and a sister- in- law, Mary-Ann Power of Newark.

There will be services held at a later date.
