Maxine Catherine Neiss

Maxine Catherine (Rager) Neiss, a resident of Coshocton for 58 years and a resident of Cambridge for 30 years, passed away at age 93 on Saturday (March 31, 2018). Maxine suffered from dementia the last five years of her life, and was well cared for at the Beckett House in New Concord.

She is survived by her son, Edward Neiss, and granddaughter, Kimberly Williams.

Maxine was born May 7, 1924 in Coshocton, daughter of Ernest Cleveland and Stella Anise (Swigert) Rager. Maxine married Carl Neiss Jr. on September 6, 1946 and became the proud mother of Edward on April 28, 1947. Maxine and Carl were happily married for 68 years until Carl's death on May 26, 2015. She enjoyed playing golf and bingo and caring for her son.

Maxine's brother Jack Rager, and sister, Jo Ann Van (Rager) Dusen also precede her in death.

No calling hours will be observed.
