Melvin W. Lanning

Melvin W. Lanning, 63, of Cambridge, died Friday (January 14, 2022) at his home.

He was born June 5, 1958 in Cambridge, son of the late William George Lanning and Shirley (Wheeler) Lanning.

A 1976 graduate of Old Washington High School, Mr. Lanning had worked as a maintenance man.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mike Lanning and Dave Lanning.

He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Estrada and Jessica Lanning both of Richwood TX; three brothers, Bill (Betty) Lanning of Cambridge, Charles E. Lanning of Cambridge, and Robert Lanning of Indiana; a sister, Teresa (Steve) Laird of Dallas TX; many grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

No calling hours will be observed.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery, at a later date.
