Michael T. Cygan, age 73, of Salesville, Ohio, passed away on January 28, 2022 in Perry, Florida of natural causes. Mike was born October 20, 1948 to the late Michael and Caroline (Sobczyk) Cygan. He grew up in Hinkley, Ohio, raised his family in Layffette, Ohio, and moved to Salesville in 2004.
Mike was a member of the AMA Just Nuts RC Club where he enjoyed flying RC planes. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending the winters in Florida. He retired from Williams Scotsman and Penske in 2020, where he drove truck.
Mike loved his family and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his companion, Carol Conley of Salesville; son Robert (Lisa) Cygan of Wooster; daughters Barb Cygan (Cathy Haynes) of New Port Ritchey, Florida, Jennifer Cygan (Joseph Capiccioni) of Medina, Ohio; extended family members Karen (Randy) Schultz and Dee (Mike) Lanham of Atwater, Ohio; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara Cygan, and a brother, Andrew.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Thorn-Black Funeral Home in Quaker City, Ohio on February 26 at Noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of his son, and in memory of his late wife.
