Michael Bruce Hardy, 55, of Cambridge, died Thursday (Dec. 16, 2010) at the home of his daughter, Melissa, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Cambridge, son of the late Charles "Chuck" and Helen (Dyer) Hardy. Mr. Hardy was employed as a foreman for Plastic Compounders. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Marge Burlingame, Lucy Prim and Julie Oliver. He leaves two sons, Michael Hardy of Tennessee, and Richard Hardy of Cambridge; two daughters, Melissa (Andrew) Black and Sarah (Rocky) Black, both of Cambridge; six brothers, Larry (Irita) Hardy of Cambridge, Ted (Helen) Hardy of Barberton, Tom Hardy of Columbus, George (Shirley) Hardy, Charlie Hardy and Timmy Hardy, all of Cambridge; two sisters, Sherry (Dean) Jones and Jeannie Hardy, both of Wilmington, Ill.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. The Rev. Dennis Kelley will officiate the service.
