Michael J. "Mike" Brown

Michael J. "Mike" Brown, 50, of Batesville passed away Thursday (June 17, 2010) at Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 15, 1959 in Orange, California and was the son of Gerald M. and Catherine (Potter) Brown of Batesville. Mike was a self-employed laborer and Catholic by faith. In addition to his parents he is survived by four brothers, Manuel (Janet) Silvia, William (Nancy) Silvia, and Gerald Brown Jr., all of Rhode Island, and Christopher Brown of Woodsfield; three sisters, Catherine Ferris of Summerfield, Christina Holmes of Antioch, and Cynthia (Danny) Hahn of Batesville; special friend, Sharon Brooks of New Matamoras; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City where services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday with Msgr. Mark Froehlich officiating. Burial will be in Batesville Cemetery.
