Mildred Y. Phillips, 69, of Cambridge, passed away Saturday (September 30, 2006) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born December 12, 1936 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Harley King and Haliey (Barr) King. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, her dogs, and being outdoors. She was a member of Byesville Assembly of God. She leaves her husband, Glen A. Phillips of the home, whom she married on November 15, 1954; a daughter, Marcia (& Tom) Rose of Kimbolton; an adopted son, John (& Michelle) Phillips of Cambridge; an adopted daughter, Missy (& Dan) Miser of Pleasant City; two brothers, Russell "Rusty" Anker of Cambridge and Charles (& Charlotte) Anker of Byesville; a sister, Mahala Moffett of Byesville; several grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; and a son-in-law, Joseph Underwood Jr. of Cambridge. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (October 4, 2006) at 11 a.m. at Byesville Assembly of God with Rev. Joseph Summer officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
