Milford C. Eagle Sr., 83, of Cambridge, died Thursday (October 7, 2010) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born March 12, 1927 in Fayette County WV, son of the late Charlie L. Eagle and Bertha Mae (Crukshank) Eagle. Mr. Eagle retired from NCR after twenty-six years of service as a maintenance worker. He also had worked at RCA for ten years. Mr. Eagle was a WWII Army Air Force veteran, having served overseas in Germany. He was a life member of the Cambridge VFW Post #2901, a member of the Masonic Lodge #66 F. & A.M., and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge. Mr. Eagle was a member of the Beckett United Methodist Church of Cambridge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Ann (Fraley) Eagle, who died January 29, 2006. They were married October 20, 1951. Also deceased are five brothers and a sister. He is survived by a son, Milford C. Eagle Jr. of Cambridge; two daughters, Kathy (& Larry) Rusnak of Cambridge, who had been his caregiver in her home and Jean (& Tim) Krugh of Northwood; two brothers, Vonda Eagle of Southpoint and Augusta Eagle of New York; a sister, Phyllis Eagle of Charleston WV; eight grandchildren, Scott (& Penny) Rusnak, Jeremy (& Leslie) Rusnak, Bethany (& Mike) Wildroudt, Benjamin Rusnak, Angela (& Tom) Loving, Julia (& Jeff) Zech, Jared Krugh, and Milford C. Eagle III; and twelve great-grandchildren, Alex, Allison, Victoria, Robert, Trevor, Brady, Mike, Tony, Alissa, Abigail, Karigan, and Brandon. Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Tuesday (October 12, 2010) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Randy Mercer officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
