Myrene McCoy Collins Savone, 69, of Cambridge, went to sleep Friday (Dec. 2, 2011) at the Countryview Assisted Living Center in Cambridge. She was born Sept. 2, 1942, in Inez, Ky., the daughter of the late Warnie and Joanna (McCoy) Collins. She was employed in sales as a manager. She was a direct descendant of the McCoy family involved in the Hatfield and McCoy feud. She was a Missionary Baptist. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Michael J. Savone; two brothers, Alex Jake Collins and Warne Jack Collins; two sisters, Jerri Riley and Deanna Stephen. She is survived by a son, Michael A. Savone of Cambridge; two daughters, Lucia A. Savone-Lacey of and Rachel R. Savone, both of Cambridge; a sister, Donna Crites of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Amanda R. Lacey, Brandon W.S. Lacey and Davon R. Savone; 11 nieces; 19 nephews; and three sisters-in-laws, Emma Mae Collins, Joyce Savone and Ann Savone. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Monday at the Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
