Nancy C. Johnson

August 15, 1943 — March 19, 2021

Nancy C. Johnson, 77, of Salesville, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 19, 2021, surrounded by family.

Nancy was born August 15, 1943 in Miami, Florida to the late Carlos and Martha Law.

Nancy was loved by everyone who knew her. She moved to Ohio in 1970 to marry her husband of 50 years, Larry Johnson, where she quickly learned farm life, including how to raise pigs and cattle and to take loads of corn to the feed mill.

Along with her husband, she leaves behind a daughter, Christy Johnson of Canton; a son, Kevin (Ronda) Johnson of Worthington; two grandsons, Kaden and Levi Johnson; a sister, Evelyn (Steve) Entler of Columbus; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy was a member of the Old Washington United Methodist Church and served as the treasurer for several years.

She enjoyed and met many friends with the United Methodist Women's Group and was also a Gibson Homemaker Member. In her younger days, Nancy enjoyed bowling and was in various bowling leagues on both Florida and Ohio. She also worked at several banks, both in Florida and Ohio.

While raising her children, Nancy was active in their lives, often serving as room mother, PTO member, and treasurer of the Band Boosters. Nancy enjoyed sports and rarely missed watching an Indians, Browns or Ohio State games.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Old Washington United Methodist Church in Nancy's honor.

Private family services will be held at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, with Pastor Clayton Coffey officiating.
