Nancy L. Meighen

Nancy L. (Cale) Meighen, 95, of Cambridge, died Thursday (May 27, 2010) at the Beckett House at New Concord. She was born November 29, 1914 in Noble County, daughter of the late Jay Cale and Nary (Larrick) Cale. Mrs. Meighen was a homemaker. She also provided home care and nursing for young children & adults for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Pleasant City, where she was a former Ladies Aide. Mrs. Meighen was a member of the Guernsey County Senior Citizens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Romaine Meighen, who died April 28, 1991; three brothers, Thomas, Robert and Charles Cale; three sisters, Dorothy Cupyk, Ruby Gerhart and Lura Postlethwait; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Meighen; and three grandchildren, Larry, Terry and Jeff Meighen. She is survived by a son, Charles Russell Meighen of Caldwell; and several cousins, nieces, nephews & great-nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday (June 1, 2010) from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Pleasant City, where services will follow at 12 p.m. with Pastor Katie Kerrigan officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pleasant City.
